The upper reaches of the Mayenne river are fed by tributaries from the Varenne and the Colmont.
This section of the river, above the barage (hydro-electric dam) at Saint Fraimbault is only
navigable by rowing boats, canoes and the occasional outboard motorboat.
The are extensive walks along both banks of the river, and for pedestrians and equestrians to
cross, there are several pontoons, designed to rise and fall with the river levels, and with one
section for small craft to pass beneath.

Thanks, but yes they're frame grabs, retouched a little using G.I.M.P.  They were shot just downriver from Ambrieres les Vallees, which is a beautiful place.  Did you see my video from there?  It was a couple of years back.

Yes it's a castle and is also the Town Hall.  I like to sit on the ramparts  by the building on a sunny day and admire the view across the valley.

Yes there are several in the area. Most of it floats on the water, with a short bridge section where the small boats can pass underneath.

Sold my Mavic Air 2 for £850, upgraded my iPhone XS to a iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB which I set up yesterday (amazing phone), bought an aquarium for my sons up and coming 4th birthday and we now have a Siamese fighting fish in our living room lol Just picked up a brand new DJI Mini 2 fly more combo too - all unboxed and now charging! Busy fews days but all has worked out to plan. The EASA rules will have no impact on me now
