Recently in the past 3 times, I have flown I have noticed that cached videos on my phone are 0kb.  The pictures are cached properly but not the videos.  
  • Cache is set to auto in the app
  • Plenty of free space on my phone
  • Tried switching to 2GB size for cache too



Any ideas what could be happening?

Also experiencing issues on note 8 following recent MA2 firmware update nov 2020.

Videos not caching in app or to device photo storage

UPDATE: recording in 4k 60 auto encodes to h265, which seems to cache as expected (although with terrible quality) AND somehow is also saving amd viewable in phone storage ?  Videos encoded h264 not caching in app or on device

It saves the photos to my phone just fine but all videos are 0b in size.  I reinstalled the app a couple of times, restarted my phone, and have the latest FW, but still, this does not work.

Hi, you're filming with what format H264 or H265? In H265 cache videos do not appear on my phone.

That theory doesn't hold water, unfortunately.  I have been in H265 and that didn't work.  Interestingly, I switched to H264 and it did cache one video that I used zoom video on.  It is definitely something with the camera cache settings.

Ok, I did some further tests and confirmed the following:

The cache is > 0b if you are in the following:
  - All photo modes
  - Zoom any frame rate H264/H265

So there are files in cache on the phone, but if it is not one of the above filming configs it is 0b in size.

I'm also having trouble with cached videos. Photos work fine, cached videos doesn't even show up.

I'm using Huawei p30 lite.

I'm filming in 4K 25fps,
The videos show up like gray images in my gallery app. All are 0 mb.

I got the same problem since updating to 1.2.2

First flight after updating everything, I have on my phone only 1 playable cache video (the first of the session) and all of the rest are 0kb.

Constantly in H.265
Device Xaiomi Note 8 Pro


Is this an app bug?

I also updated DJI Fly to 1.2.2 and updated my firmware and now it just shows up in my gallery as 0kb.
I would agree this is an App bug.  

Too bad DJI doesn't test on different devices or at a minimum respond to this thread

I downloaded the v1.2.2 from the DJI site and installed it on my phone, but the same issue.  Seems like someone from DJI Fly App Engineering should fix this.

2nd session today with 1.2.2 and I got 16 playable cached videos out of 32 total. 4 out of 16 appear playable but they are 0.00 in duration. The remaining 16 are 0kb.

Another weird thing I experienced is once when trying to disable obstacle sensors, the interface in the menu was different. The feature appeared as an on/off switch rather than the usual graffic 3-choice buttons.
It happened only once and I can't reproduce it in any way.

Cache works when recording in 1080p and 2.7K. Cache dosent work when recording in 4k. DJI please fix that BUG org upgrade DJI Go for support Mavic Air series.

I had these a lot on my Mini too. Doesn't matter which version app I used, there were always 0Mb cached video files.
