As a casual drone user, I have never really needed most features that other drones offer, like ActiveTrack, good quality footage, etc. Which is why the Mini 2 is perfect for me. No bells and whistles, just straight up a great flyer and balanced shooter in a very small package. Very easy to use and affordable too. This is why the Mini 2 is the perfect drone for me and I am loving it. Many people told me to get the Mavic Air 2 instead but I did not get pressured into getting it. Who needs the hassle of registration and having to carry a larger drone if you're just gonna fly it for fun?

Hassle? It took me 5 minutes and $5 to register online. Not so easy in Russia? Still, whatever works for you is perfect.

Congrats!  M2 is a nice upgrade from the MM.  I prefer the MA2 for several reasons but one being that it handles the wind so much better.  Registering was quick and cheap.  Happy flying.
