I'm very impressed with the DJI Mini 2..

It has almost as great obstacle avoidance as my Mavic 2 Pro (... none vs practically none)

But it is a great portable drone for legally flying where no other drone can go in the EU. And picture quality is good.

So I think now my M2Pro is going on eBay. The Mini 2 plus my "The one that should not be named here - with perfect obstacle avoidence" - will be my drones of use and choice.

Rumour has it the led at the front is where there OA was supposed to be fitted and it was dropped at the last minute.

Yes, there was an article on DroneDJ. It seems it is only 242 grams.

I think OA is only a wishful thinking.

I could see why

I must say that even on my drones with OE it is more of a hinderance than a positive thing..... Especially when trying to land on a boat or hand catch

I agree,  I get more false positives than actual use from it.

You don't need OA - I usually switched it off on all my drones

I crashed my Mavic Air 1 many times taking risks because of OA, I’ve become a far better pilot owning a Mavic Mini and Mini 2
