It is 1,046 meters tall. It consists of nine peaks, and the main peak is the reunion. The name of the mountain came from the resemblance of the shape of the mountain to its head. The name of the entire mountain is also called Byul Yushan, and the reunion is sometimes called Byul Yushan. Among the nine peaks, Uisangbong is the second peak, but is more popular than the main peak, Sangbong, which is often known as the name of the peak.
Uisangbong Peak is a place where Uisang Temple was dedicated during the reign of King Munmu of Silla, and is visited by more people than other peaks because of its beautiful scenery. Nearby are Kang Saeng-won, which King Sukjong paid tribute to Wonhyo, Gogyeosa Falls, which is 80 meters high, and a rice cave where Uisang said that two servings of rice were served every day when he visited the capital.
There is a course that starts from Gajo-myeon and stops at Gogunsa Temple through Suwol-ri, ticket office, and Jeongja-mu, and then goes down to Gogunsa Temple on the ridge, and then to Gogunsa Temple, starting from Gogunsa Temple entrance through Madangjae Pass and Gogae, then down to Uisubong Peak. After hiking, you can relieve your fatigue in Gajo Hot Springs. In Hwangsan-ri, Wicheon-myeon, there is a famous national tourist destination for Suseungdae, which was originally a border area between Silla and Baekje, and it is said that Silla sent Baekje envoys back without welcoming them. It is a place where clear water and a large turtle-shaped rock formation are combined, and is suitable for family tourists.
