total newbie to this site and drones.. i am looking at purchasing a Pro 2


How can i check  the  build date  and also if serial number is genuine


are there any major diffrences from from pro 2 built in  nov 2019 and nov 2020 ?

i read somewhere that if there is a R anywhere in the serial number its a refurbished unit ? is this the case? , though ther is R in the one i am looking to buy , it is not  5 from the last number .. if that makes sense


... i have the serial no of the potential purchase ...its new and sealed but a little wary as its not from an authorised dealer ...


is there anywhere on dji site or someone you can run the serial number byt to make sure its the real deal and warranty will be fine before purchasing it

Hello there caloosa. Thank you for reaching out and for these information you have posted. Can you please send me the serial number of the said DJI drone through PM for me to be able to check it on our DJI database. Thank you.

R is refurbished,  ideally get the 2020 model for the newer battery.

The model from 2018 to present should be exactly the same if bought new.
