All set up and activated. Looking forward to using this one - flies great yet smaller when folded than my iPhone 12 Pro Max which just about fits in the remote with the case on and no adaptor!

Flew perfectly! Not a single glitch on my first two flights yesterday using my iPhone 12 Pro Max on iOS 14.2. Took this 180 pano and this RAW 12mp still to test - no issues

How long is the battery life? Just curious, its advertised as 1 more minute than the mini. My mini goes for about 28 minutes with aggressive flying and 13mph wind

I've only flown it twice (yesterday) in 20-30MPH + winds and got 20 minutes on one battery but I did use Sport mode a lot as putting it through the initial tests.

I imagine flight times will be similar. As long as I get over 20 minutes off of each of the three batteries under normal flight conditions to give me over an hour without touching a charger then that'll do me.

I thought what a cute little toy when I first got it out the box. The weather was appalling yesterday but thought I would just take off and watch it get blown around and land. To my surprise it handled the wind really well. Flew straight at altitudes of over 200' in gusts. I came back with the wind carrying the drone from 1900' (not one bar dropped in signal) and hit speeds of over 36MPH. No lag in the video feed and it was extremely responsive. Knowing it doesn't have precision landing I was amazed that it still landed on the pad too when I tested RTH. So one quick take off turned into flying it around for 5 miles without a single glitch over two whole battery flights. TBH the similarity to flying the Mavic Air 2 was very close. I then transferred the 4K video files from the micro SD card to my iPhone using the new transfer feature built into the drone whilst I drove back home... It is an awesome drone and quiet, very quiet! I could not hear it at 80' away. Hard to believe how something that weighs around 240g can deliver all of that!

I know - range tests are so boring too (unless the pilot takes it to the absolute limit and lands on zero % like Dustin Dunnill). TBH I will not be flying the Mini 2 more than a mile in any situation and mainly VLOS.

According to DJI Paladin it will discharge to 72% after 5 days. I don't know if that is theory or actual. As I used my Mini 2 a few days ago on a battery that had been sitting for 5-7 days, and I thought when I checked the Battery level on the drone at take-off it was 98%.

I read the manual again and the disclaimer - the manual says it discharges to 96% after 24 hours then starts to discharge to 72% after 5 days - that will probably take another day or two to reach 72% from 96% but may be dependant on the batteries not being connected to the drone/two-way charger or being turned on during the countdown. 72% seems odd given all of DJI's other Lipo's are set to 60% - unless it's due to the size of the batteries being just 2 cells.

However, in the DJI disclaimer for the Mini 2 it states to leave the batteries on a charge of 40-60% if not used for more than 10 days! Bit of a contradiction between their own instructions. I'll just charge them to 50% after I get home and leave them until the night before I fly and fully recharge - it's worked for me so far.

Pretty sure they do, but possibly 'un-parameterisable';  along with a few other things on the Mini2
