Hey everyone, I am very much a noob when it comes to video editing.  I use good old Windows Video Editor, which easy to use but limited.  Any suggestions on moving to software (Windows based) that is better but doesn't have a steep learning curve?  I purchased Sony Vegas Studio but that is "tricky" to use.  Any feedback would be appreciated, thank you.

There's always going to be a learning curve with all editing platforms so make sure to watch plenty of YT videos. I personally use Final Cut Pro which to me one of the best out there.

Final Cut Pro is my go to but I have a Macs so that is not a good option for you.  I also use Adobe After Effects which is robust but not as intuitive in my opinion as Final Cut Pro.  

Microsoft Movie Maker is a good option

the free version of Davinci Resolve is very good.

Final Cut Pro is next on my list

Good move! You'll be impressed with SW and the many features it offers.

I use both Premier Pro CC and After Effects.

There will be a lot if YouTube videos on all the apps that will help you get started. I still go to YouTube to help me with a certain effect or transition that I want to add to my video. When you do decide on an editing app you can also join a forum for that app to get more help also.

Thank you!  I saw some cool video editing software on FB, of course I forget the name.  It allowed for some really cool additions, have to find that one.

How is davinci resolve not on this list? Literally the best out of any video edittor and its free. Kodi nox

It is, I tried it out, seems very cool, just need to take the time to learn about the features.

TunesKit AceMovi is very nice and I personally using it.
