Hi Pilots. I read up on the dji page trying to find if there is active track or follow me on the new drone. Found nothing. Do you owners see this function when using it? Sorry if it has been discussed else where.

No, search here and other locations. It does not have Sensors to enable Obstacle avoidance.

No it does not. I wish it had Active Track like the Spark at least.

Waiting for the SDK for MM2, and then Litchi.... I Think about another year...

No active tracking - just panos and quick shots (minus asteroid - which is odd as it can do a dronie and 360 seperately)

yeah I think dji would not give active track unless there is OA system on board. The drone is definitely capable of it. It is mighty useful is shooting solo on a moving vehicle like skateboard... Niche use but still great to have

They probably have made this choice based on 'marketing'.
My guess is that DJI will introduce a <250g drone with all the M2A features if they see only the MM2 is really selling in EU after the end of this year.

An Active Track, hack?



As mentioned, the answer is NO, but....  I have dot tried this, but it might suit your needs within the limitations of the app and the drone.  Be careful.

Thanks for the vid. Yeah just taking advantage of the quickshot modes. The timing is tricky with this method... Feel silly DJI acts like nanny

New version released Litchi 4.0.18-g.
As soon as the drone arrives, I will test it, at least on MM, AND it worked fine.

Is Litchi's Follow/Track feature on par with DJI's?
In Litchi's User Guide, their Follow and Track feature appear to look like maps in their screenshots.

If you use the Litchi App it works flawlessly. And I don't know why DJI didn't included this feature in the mini 2.

Dear dji officials; Please do not need us to another company. We want to follow up actively with the dji application!

Guess this is not a good excuse , cause it also does not have sensors for other quick shot feeatures. In this quick shoot you can face environnement issues as well.
