I just bought Litchi earlier this week so I could join the Mini beta. Today I got a notice that version 2.9.0 was RELEASED. Here are thre release notes from their site. Unfortunately, waypoint mode is not yet available. That's the one I really want!

November 2020 Updates
iOS: Litchi for DJI Mavic / Phantom / Inspire / SparkVersion 2.9.0 (November 20, 2020)
- added support for Mavic Mini 1, all flight modes are supported except waypoint which will come in a future update
- added Follow mode
- Panorama Database has been revamped, stitching is improved and you can now stitch up to 130 megapixels spherical panoramas on iPhone and up to 220 megapixels on iPad Pro
- added new "Auto Stitch Panoramas" general camera setting. When enabled, after shooting a panorama, Litchi will automatically stitch it in low resolution in the background
- added Simulator mode that can be used to simulate a flight, enable/disable it with a long press on the top bar's flight mode (requires a connection to the drone)
- added new "Switch Flight Mode" custom function to switch the Mavic Mini's flight mode
- added new Dynamic Homepoint setting
- added support for Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB) photo capture mode for Mavic Mini
- AutoPano now shoots 360x110 spherical panoramas compared to 360x90 before
- Mavic 2 Zoom's optical zoom is now correctly reported in the UI
- fixed bug where sharing a panorama on Facebook would fail
- misc improvements and bug fixes

Litchi is a great choice for those who don't want to deal with DJI's Fly App issues, can't wait for way-points.

it is sure that Litchi is a good compromise, and above all it is the only one now that improves our poor MINI because the own manufacturer has already dropped it for a few months already

...yep, DJI is all about money...of course...and I no blame them...but still disgusting to milk the community.

I think they will get eaten up by competition for being so "GREEDY"

...we'lll see.

I was able to fly with the upgrade a bit. Everything works fine. I have a Mini 2 also and since upgrading the DJI Fly app, the new app has issues with the original Mini so this at least gives me a way to fly the original Mini.

Litchi needs the SDK for the Mini 2 and Mavic Air 2 before they can add drones to the app.  The release of the Air 2 SKD has been delayed until the end of the month.  Hopefully that will be released so it opens up more options to the Air 2 and Mini users.

MA 2 SDK is set to release on the 30th, think March/April of next year before mini 2 is supported + how long it takes litchi to adapt.

About a year in this case

My first fly ever with Litchi today with Mini. I like it but I need to used it.
Better signal management and range I think. In the same area I had some signal issues, today it was better.

Thanks for sharing.  Just need waypoints now.

Although I have no idea how well programmed the SDK is, so maybe it is a lot of work to add a new drone (not that I believe that)

I had it for 1 day but asked for a refund when I returned my MP to the dealer.
Fun fact, that was at Black Friday 2017
They were so busy that they send me 2 drones.
I only found out after a couple of days when I got another reminder from the postal office.
(I ignored the first one because I already picked one up)
By then I had decided to return it (not knowing this was not allowed)
So when I called the dealer they immediately asked about the second drone.
And I was honestly surprised because I had not picked it up yet.

So I had some negotiation
And after a little chat I was allowed to return 'both' drones and get refund for 1.

I have a bunch of things in mind.

I volunteer and help look for lost dogs a lot and often I spend most of my time watching my flying and keeping the camera pointed down, it would be helpful to setup an automated flight path that the drone follows while I can focus more on the camera and less on where I'm flying.

The same goes for when I'm looking for gators and other wild life, I get low and close to the shoreline and will fly a few feet and then pan around to know my surroundings, fly a little bit, repeat. It would be really helpful to create a flight path that the drone will follow so that I can be monitoring the camera more instead of the flying.

I 360 pan anywhere I go to get an idea of my spacial awareness when flying, but if the camera is pointed down. I quickly loose track of how close to the shore I'm getting in my blind spots (tree's overhang the lake) so I'm always looking around to make sure I'm not about to fly into anything.

Waypoints would give me the ability to cruise on Autopilot and focus on keeping the shot, even create "fake" looking tracking shots, create a flight path of where the car will be driving, set the drone off and I focus on the pan/yaw to keep the subject tracked while the drone follows the set course.

These ideas all stem from use of the mini 1, I can't imagine what will be possible with Occusync.

Finding lost pets is a noble cause indeed....

...if cams are the same on both minis, a "zoom" function would serve you well.

I swear they stole the zoom idea from me, I requested digital zoom and got the typical reply "We've forwarded your idea to our engineers for review" Well it seems like they received it loud and clear, just not on the drone I requested it for....

Zoom will be a very handy feature for me for sure, right now my work flow is remove the sdcard, upload to pc, open in mpc and use windows magnifier to review any footage in the field. When I get home I load it into vegas where I can do the picture/picture zoom effect. Digital zoom on the mini 1 in my opinion worked great.
