Kinder Scout is the highest point in Derbyshire. In the valley below the heights is Kinder Reservoir.
On such a nice day, I just had to take a look. Problem is, just to the right of the reservoir in the
close-up views, is a Shotgun Academy.  I had no wish for the drone to be mistaken for a skeet,
and so the Mavic 2 Zoom did the business from a respectful distance.

Nice landscape. Looks almost like Scotland. Zoom comes in handy in that situation.

Good morning Depp ( or good afternoon for you )  Thanks.  Yes the whole area is tremendously popular with ramblers.  The bracken and heather dying off at this time of year give a striking colour to the landscape.

That was back on Thursday though. The footage I should have done on Friday before a buyer for the P4 popped up on the radar

It's been lovely again today, but I forewent the droning opportunity today to get some fell walking in instead. I've been sat idle for too long, and the walking boots needed a workout

Certainly did. Down here in the valley it seemed quite still, but after a steady uphill slog for about an hour I crested the hill to the south of us and had to hang onto my hat

Quite so!  Golden rule - outward flight INTO the wind, makes the return trip surer. We've learned that lesson a long time ago

Drone past B&Q today and they were queuing to get in the carpark.   Lots of walkers and joggers about.    And nearly every house around me today had visitors, and they mostly had different visitors yesterday.

As I walked up out of the village there were groups of people walking everywhere. Not a mask in sight. As I crossed the main road and headed uphill onto the moors I saw a few keen walkers and fell runners, but that's all. Seclusion and a great view.  I must cart the drone up there one day.

Seems the masks in the supermarket are getting more "optional" by the day and I see that the supermarket is currently the number 1 spot in the UK to get the virus.
