I read some of the other posts regarding DJI batteries dieing so easily.

My question is simple, I hope....

I have 2 batteries for my P2 and they've been sitting for 3-4 years. When I try to charge them either through the charging cable or the P2 itself, absolutely nothing happens. No lights...nada.

They were barely used, maybe 8-10 cycles and I always left them around 60% charged before putting everything away.

My guess is they're shot

It's time to upgrade your drone now. Since it has been out of the warranty period, a good reason for you to abandon it and purchase a new one.

Did I ask why they might not work? No. I stated that they won't seem to charge and that I figured they are shot.

Yeah, I did that already. I have a Parrot Anafi Thermal and will be getting a Mavic Air 2 in March.

My son wanted to borrow a drone from me to take some video of his new property. I wasn't lending him the Thermal ;)

So you created a thread to tell everyone that you left some lipo batteries lying around for FOUR YEARS and now you know they don't work. Well thanks for you're outstanding insight into the abosolute obvious

Mavic Mini 2 will probably be able to replace (and outrun) your P2

Hello there fsbell1273. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with the batteries of your DJI Phantom 2. Battery lifespan and condition of the battery will depend on the totality of how it was used and stored. Hoping for your kind understanding that every electronic product and batteries has a certain warranty period and lifespan. In addition, battery swelling is basically caused by to much heat, vast changes in temperature and/or moisture getting into the battery itself. Again I am sorry and thank you for understanding.

You're right. I guess I should have put a ? after "I guess they're shot. I don't know if there's some way to cycle them or revive them. Should I just can them and order new ones?

I would can them if it were me. There are some YouTube videos on how to revive dead lipos but you need to be very careful as they can explode.
