I just took the plunge with the iphone 12 pro max. Yeah I know it's a first world issue that I have. I typically don't go for the larger phones because of issues that I am having. But the camera setup was just too much for me to not go for it. The issue that I'm having is that I like having a case that has a belt clip/holster setup. I've always carried my cell phones that way as it makes it very convenient for me. Right now, I'm using an otterbox defender case (not a huge fan of otterbox) because it's about the only one at the time I got the phone that was available. As it happens, it makes it too bulky to fit the MA2 controller. The phone fits fine naked, but I'm not one to go without protection for my investment. Has anyone else that might have a 12 pro max found a clip/holster type case setup that works? I'd love to run across a clear case with holset/clip but right now, I don't think I can be too picky, lol. Thanks in advance!!

The holster is well made and very durable.   The case is decent as well, but like you I wanted "clear".  So I separately purchased a cheap, clear silicone case -- and it works just fine with the holster, as it is roughly the same thickness as the included black case.

I got the same phone a week ago - the camera is indeed fantastic - many congrats and good luck with the case hunt

Thanks Scott, I had looked at that particular case a couple days after I got my new phone. I had used the Encased brand with my XR and it worked great, but it was an ultra thin model. Just wanna make sure I get something that will fit.

You're probably using the magsafe charger as well. That's pretty cool if so. And those cases probably fit the controller pretty good. Just don't know if I can bring myself to terms of how to carry it that way without my belt clip, LOL.

Yeah, I have a MagSafe charger too which comes in very handy and it fits in the MA2/Mini 2 RC device holder too.
Let's just say I am very conscious which pocket to put it in - it's a beast of a phone and not one I intend to drop

There is a "flap" that you can move to plug in a charging cable, if that is what you are referencing.

If your wedded to one with a clip and don't have pockets that will hold it, you won't like this one, but it works for me....

I’m actually considering that one as encased makes a belt clip they advertise as being compatible with that specific case. But the clip isn’t listed to be in stock till mid December. I never thought I’d have this much trouble finding a case for a phone lol

Ahhh....I've been watching a ton of info on that. Since I'll be upgrading from an iPhone 6S Plus, I haven't even tried wireless charging on anything yet. I found this video very well executing explaining the differences and I'll most likely stick with a cable for charging. Check it out and see what you think.

I qi charge over night and love it,   no way Id go back to a cable for everyday charging.  

I've settled on a belt clip I found on amazon and apple magsafe silicone case. I got an apple magesafe leather case too but for use with the belt clip, my phone will be sporting the silicone one as I don't want to get wear spots on the leather. In all actuality, I like the feel of the silicone cases a little better than the leather, but I still like the leather one and use it when I go out to nice places with my lady ;)
The combination works, but if the phone was any bit bigger, I don't think it would work.
