DJI Mini 2 Flight Time Test showing you the real deal when recording footage and photography. This is not a hover test, but power consumption under real use, and you will be able to download some of the samples if you like (link in description).

Good honest review - use Sport mode, fly around in full pitch all the time recording 4K, fly in heavy winds and keep taking the drone up and down to and from 400' and you can knock minutes off that time. I am experiencing around 20-22 minutes in real time landing on 20% too without pushing it too much. With three batteries thats over an hour in the air and still good enough for me in one trip without touching a charger but far short of 31 minutes per flgiht - though to be expected - we don't fly in labs I also noticed the low battery warning bleep is much louder on the Mini 2 than the Mavic Air 2

Only done half a dozen flights but also found 20-22 minutes to be quite realistic, without having to worry about a potential forced landing at all

Everyone has their own real conditions, where the wind is stronger, someone in principle does not use special shooting modes, and someone bought a drone just for them, someone shoots in FHD, and someone needs 4K and everyone will have different flight times.

Yeah, if I fly around in cine mode in windless conditions recording in 1080p and force land on 0% I’m sure I’ll get nearer half an hour but I’d rather 20 minutes flying how I need to

Can you change the percentage to something else than 20% before it starts beeping?

I thought hovering used more power than flying at 16mph which I believe was the speed they tested this at.

Hover will shorten the flight time I'm pretty sure..

That is too bad.
20% is still a long time if you fly in line of sight!

I wish. This also gets you agitated and you might make a bad decision. Bad feature.

According to my last flights the time I spend in the air (taking  photos/videos at 1 or 2 Km distance) is about 18 minutes and land with  40-30% battery. The slower you fly the less battery you drain. I fly to the working area at normal speed (thus I have more time to work), work in cinema mode  (photos/videos), return home in sport mode and land in cinema mode.

NEVER push the batteries to the limit or you'll end up losing the drone. You  need that 40-30% extra battery to confront any problem that may occur  during the flight, just land at 40-30%, put a new battery and take off  again while the other batteries charge. Also, draining the batteries to low voltages is bad for them and last less cycles.

I always return before  the green part of the circle empties, if you wait for the orange to  return, and face a front wind maybe your drone don't return home.

Also  take in consideration that the return to home function flies at low  speed and uses more battery and time that manually return on  sports mode, so it NEEDS that 30-40% battery life to arrive. You don't want to lose signal  or accidentally break the controller and the drone not being able to return on the  automatic return home safety mode.

PS: You can push the batteries  a little only if you are flying at 100 meters or so you have your drone in VLOS, but when flying at 1Km, 1.5Km or 2Km (my  usual flights these days) just start the comeback a little before the  green bar empties.

You can on the MP, so I set it to 7% or something like that.
Flying with this beep is horrible.
Just like something is about to explode.

Absolutely, 24 mins is about the maximum, on a calm day, no Sport mode, with the critical alarm beeping crazy!!! Photo quality is nothing to write home about; but its flying time matches the Mavic 2's; while its radio range beats the Mavic 2's hands down. Don't know if what DJI says on its website that the Mini2 is on FCC here in Australia..., is making the difference???
