Is DJI launching a FPV style drone?

Yes,  it does look a bit bloated doesn't it.

We've been seeing DJI drone prototypes made with standard FPV parts for many, many years. It's the way it works, that doesn't mean they will ever make a full FPV drone.

Im not ruling it out, especially as FPV is growing at the moment and they did do the goggles and camera already.

I also have thought about it since the footage looks quite impressive and it looks like the best way to experience flying.

Yeah it does.
It most certainly will improve your piloting skills (if you don't crash the first second)

Id quite like to get into FPV at some point.

Best way to get into fpv is buy a controller (you can get a betafpv lite radio for about £40) and plug it into a pc and use a simulator, before I ever flew a real quad I practiced on the simulator for about 2 months, translated into real life flying amazingly well.

I’ve been looking at a radio master tx16 it’s a little more expensive but I feel I won’t out grow it if I get multiple models someday.

PS, did you also notice a lot less 'digest' posts around lately?

These leaks are out since months now. We'll see, but to me it looks quite natural that DJI will try to get this market as well.

I did the same thing, when i got my RC for using on the simulator I went for the jumper t16 pro, I ended up going digital for my 5" quads so I use the DJI RC most of the time now but still use the T16 for my tinyhawk II freestyle (dont buy a tinyhawk - the motors are trash)

It's a good radio, I had the original Jumper T16 but since I switched fully to DJI FPV system over analog, I am now using DJI FPV remote controller - you should look into that as you will not want to fly analog anyway and you get a free radio receiver in Air Units/Vistas so it pays for itself after a few models.

A lot more than what? It's actually cheaper than the top of the line analog setup with a radio and crossfire/tracer module like most people use... I actually made a bit of money switching to DJI radio after selling my old radio, Crossfire module and a few receivers. If I was entering the hobby with DJI FPV System I'd save a bunch more.
