What’s New?

• Fixed issue: some batteries displayed the battery level incorrectly and dropped suddenly. If there are several batteries, update the firmware for all the batteries one by one.
  

Notes:

• Update the firmware through DJI Pro Assistant for Ronin by connecting the USB-C port on Ronin 2 to your computer. Do not disconnect the gimbal from the computer while updating.
• Make sure to update both the gimbal and remote controller of Ronin 2 to the latest firmware. Otherwise, the remote controller will not be able to control the gimbal. Restart the gimbal and remote controller after the update is complete.
• Once the update starts, the motors power off. If updating firmware with a camera attached to Ronin 2, make sure to protect the camera from collisions.
• If the firmware update fails, restart Ronin 2 and retry.

Having completed the firmware update, my version on the Ronin 2 gimbal shows as 1.1.0.11, rather than the 1.7.1.0 I'd expect.  This wasn't resolved on multiple attempts, downgrading and reinstalling, reinstalling the DJI PC software, etc.  I asked my dealer to try the update as well, and they report the same issue.

More troubling is that the Push Pan and Push Tilt complaints that were supposedly resolved in 1.5.08 are still very apparent.  As soon as Push Pan is engaged, the pan motor makes noise on quicker pans and also has jerky response.  Again, my DJI dealer tested the issue and found the same problem.

Push pan and tilt are extraordinarily useful, and are a major selling point, and I use them for every shot on a ReadyRig or Klassen SlingShot.  They worked flawlessly with the last firmware I was using.  The only reason I have updated the firmware is for Master Wheels compatibility.

I'm having the same issue. I do realize however in the app on my phone it does recognize the updated firmware 1.7.1.0 but on the gimbal still says v1.1.0.11 guessing that's the original? Still no ability to roll past 30 degrees in either direction with the remote.

Had some problem while tried updating fresh new Ronin 2.  First attempted the Ronin 2 connected to the DJI Pro Assistant For Ronin, but suddenly there’s some error code that interrupted the update. Tried to restart and connect again, but the Ronin 2 booting ask for “Update The Firmware!”, but i had no chance to connect again to DJI Assistant. The bluetooth also off now from the booting. Any chance to reboot or hard reset the Ronin 2?  Any advice please? Thank you.
