Hello everybody, thinking about buying the new Mini 2, but I struggle to find answers to this simple questions:In sphere mode, where you automatically take a series of pictures,
  • is the result always a stitched 360° photo?
  • or do you (also) get a series of single shots/files?
  • are this shots JPEG only or also raw files?

A more general question about the automatic capturing of this shots: is it always with the identical exposure time and ISO throughout the whole series of shots?

Background for this: I own a Phantom 3, which I love, and I am taking a lot of 360 spheres. I use M mode (fixed ISO and exposure time), shooting raw files and then I edit them in Lightroom. Would be awesome, when the Mini 2 has the option to get the raw files in an automatic capture mode. Maybe someone has an answer to this questions, also experience with the way it is on previous models would help a lot!

Thanks everybody!

Clemens

With the Mavic Mini 2 the output captures are always in Jpeg.
Which is a shame, but that is what it is.
The stitched end result can be made in the app, or you can stitch it yourself.

Thank you very much for your answer! It's a bummer, but I think I could work with the way it is...

You're welcome.
I agree and hope DJI will add raw output.
It is clearly something they did not add on purpose because it won't cost any extra processing power obviously.
So maybe it was low in priority, or (more likely) was left out to keep some room for a 'pro' drone.
