Hi,
A few days ago I downloaded a dat file from my drone(Mavic mini), and I don't know how to open it. I tryed to open the file by the CsvView. First I extracted the logs by the ExtractDJI. Next I tryed to open them in the CsvView, but program returned an error:
createDatFile invalid header - proceeding
Aircraft type UNKNOWN: Assuming clock speed 4.5 MHz
Time Axis scale may be incorrect!!
Aircraft type unknown: Assuming 4 cellls per battery
Total Error Ratio 100,00%

Next I tryed to get the files from the Dji Fly app, but a folder where they normaly are created is empty.

Where are the files from the app and how can I open the files from the drone.
Sorry for bad English

The .DAT on the MM itself is encrypted and can not be processed by DatCon or CsvView.

Ok, so is there any way to open them, and what happened with the dat logs from the app?

Yes - for me it is working too, but with the txt files. It isn't working with the .Dat files from the drone.  I can't try to open the Dat.  files from the app becasue I haven't got them. How can I restore them, or download from Dji cloud?

AFAIK, only DJI is capable of opening an on board .DAT. The .DAT logs that got recorded by the app were most likely deleted when the flight data was synched with DJI.

So, what usage of the on-board .DAT file, which could be retrieved by the DJI Assistant 2 App? Any usage?

To us mere mortals and the product users ......none.
To DJI when checking a returned drone.......who knows but no doubt they can read them.

Then I wonder why DJI Assistant offers to us users the possibility to extract the log files. This doens't make any sense if you as a user can't do anything with them.

Who knows, a guess would be to allow users to send them to DJI if DJI wanted them. Have you tried to read and extracted log?  I recollect they where unreadable.
