Hi, I read that for active track to work there is a need for a smartphone being attached to the gimbal, and, that the actual tracking is done by the phone.
All that, sounds abit cumbersome to me...

Is there any non smartphone based ActiveTrack solution ( for the Ronin gimbal )?

Is there any ActiveTrack solution using the camera HDMI out connector for the video feed used for tracking ?

Hello there, currently for the Ronin-S/SC, a smartphone is needed to achieve the ActiveTrack function.
We released the RS2/RSC2 in this month and introduced the RavenEye Image Transmission that enable users to achieve the ActiveTrack without the smartphone.

So w/ RS2 & RSC2 I can control tracking from the built in LCD display?
Is it in the same manner done w/ DJI Pocket 2?
Can I mark a region for tracking, or, is it tracking only faces ?

Hello, yes you can control the tracking from the built-in Display by the RS2 when using with the RavenEye. For the RSC2 with RavenEye, you still need to select the tracking target on the Ronin app from your smartphone.

The ActiveTrack 3.0 can track faces (recommended) and objects, the region tracking depends on the surroundings (if there are not too many other objects other than the field you want to select).
