Thanks Depp. I hovered there for a while, hoping a train would come by, but no luck, Then the battery got low so I had to land   I'll check the timetables for the trains before I go there again

Trains have a way of not appearing when you want them to (with me at least)
If I would get a Euro for every time I missed one, I could buy a MM2 right now

There's actually a third track, making a triangle, which I missed, but that doesn't have a viaduct. Not sure how high I would have to go to get all three in shot, but it should be below the 120m limit.

Nice. So they can turn locos around here

I always feel that viaducts were built unnecessarily tall.

Not there, much further down the branch line. That leads to a quarry. The trains come from the quarry and go either east or west, depending which viaduct they cross. Same with the returning empty trains. The third line is for through traffic which doesn't visit the quarry.

If you made them any shorter the legs wouldn't reach the ground

Oh yes most certainly - several times a day (and night)  It's a giant limestone quarry.

Sounds like a perfect reason to return with a drone (when you know the schedule or have time to get flying because you can spot an arriving train on the signals etc)
