Hello all, it was a blood sucking Thanksgiving for me.  Flew the drone and lost connection(flew behind a hill)and landed.  Can someone tell me how to upload my flight records and decypher on what exactly happened.  OH and by the way I was able to retrieve the drone from the coordinates i got from the app and it was dead on, but of course it took 3 miles hike and 500 ft vertical climb on 3 hills.

And yes I am pretty sure it was 99.9% operator error!

I am expecting this kind of criticism.  Yes I should have known better and yes I have been around for a while flying drones and just for my curiosity was the part where I wanted what happened, because the last second it gave me a lost image transmission before it totally disconnected(Lost VLOS I was assuming) and one little detail I forgot to mention it was at night.  Criticism are welcome since I am admitting it was my fault and knowing it was being flown out in the field/hills next to my house.

And one more thing, I lost a set of Master airscrew props and my camera is a gonner(it will be replace with a zoom camera).

Since there was a crash that happened before and this unfortunate event happened I would recommend you to contact our DJI support team at https://www.dji.com/support?site=brandsite&from=nav for further assistance. We have a team that will do there best to check the said drone and will give out the best resolution for this issue. If the said drone is still under the warranty period and it is evaluated as a non-pilot error, the warranty service will be provided. Again I am sorry for the trouble and thank you for your understanding.

Thank you Stephen, the said drone is out of warranty(I purchase it when M2pro came out) and knowing that it is indeed a pilot error.  The trade in value of it according to DJI is less than $450 for my bundle I don't think it is worth for me to send it in to get it fix.  Again thank you,

Ahh .. the joys of swimming in the Apple universe.
The app records a .txt file and it's there in your iPad.
To retrieve it from an Android device is something-nothing and takes 10 seconds.
But with Apple, a simple action like retrieving a file is just too hard.

I had once a iOS device for work, never felt happy and got used to their UI.
Happy to see that i am not the only one....

Yes, as stated above I was able to retrieve the drone and loss a good set of master Airscrew props which I have ordered to replace them and the pro camera is DOA and will be replaced with a zoom camera which I’m hoping will be here sometime this week.

As long as we learn from our mistakes.  Thanks for all the positive support from this forum.  

This is how the drone looks like after the crash.  Broken props(white props are easier to locate out in the field) which will be replaced with bright orange ones and camera is no longer functional and will be replaced with a zoom camera.   No major scratches or broken parts on the drone itself.

Same here, I guess we just take these smart drones for granted once in a while.  Thought me a lesson to be on the lookout all the time.

Lucas775 with Big Sur & Catalina on the Mac to access the iPhone/iPad you have to go to Finder -> Left side menu and scroll down.  You should see your device with and eject arrow next to it.  Then in the menu in the upper part of screen you will see files.  The change has caused quite a bit of confusion.

Changes to the MacOS to reduce the need for third-party apps to use the iPhone/iPad like iTunes.  Now it is connected as drive in the Finder on the right side menu.
