Hi, does anyone has any experience with sending a drone with batteries? What carrier / delivery in the UK?

There is no issue with the drone, I need to send them and most carriers do not ship batteries.

Here in NL I have not had issues.

DJI use UPS too and DPD - who obviously ship batteries using their services so check both out. I have read horror stories of Royal Mail destroying drone packages that contain Lipo's so don't even chance it. I usually hand deliver the drones I have sold on Ebay.

I already checked DPD and they don't deliver batteries...

The Royal Mail allows posting batteries with the equipment actually: "Lithium ion/polymer/metal/alloy batteries are allowed when sent with or contained in/connected to an electronic device, but are subject to packaging, volume and quantity restrictions."

If using RM - be sure to tell them at the counter and follow their instructions by the book though I have read even doing that has not stopped drones being 'binned'.

So I sent by RM.

It was going twice longer than expected - so I thought they destroyed it - but at the end it arrived to the buyer.

I am not saying it would work every time though. I consider myself lucky in this case.

I've taken my chances a few times and no come back either but always a risk

Yesah, I don't think I would try it again with them.
