Hi,

today I was attempting to manually land my Mavic Air 2 lower than I had taken off and received this warning and was unable to manually land:

Min flight altitude reached. Aircraft unable to continue descending (Code: 3201204)

The craft would not descend any further despite stick input and the warning continued to appear on the DGI Fly app screen. There was no ability to bypass the warning or ok it and continue descending with manual stick control.

To land I had to use the DJI Fly land/RTH icon on the screen then land.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way to bypass this? And was my procedure the correct and easiest one?

Thanks,

That's a really strange message to pop up.  Anxious to see what JJB finds in the logs.

I can't see anything in the flight record I uploaded and linked to but my Airdata UAV download shows the warning.

Not sure how I can link to a .csv on the forum.

I am going out to fly in a bit and will see if I can replicate the problem.  I often fly from a hill that has a field nearby at lower elevation.  I will also try it in Active Track.

Hi,

Thanks, added this msg to FRAP.

Its time for dinner here, so not much time now.
But this msg is there (quick thinking) bc MA2 is still in ActiveTrack mode.
Seems logic that in AT you cannot fly lower than 1 meter, as at 0.5 meter the autolanding is initiated with stick down.
To manually land is to cancel AT first. Autolanding selection in the app is a positive choice, so user wants to land the craft.
While getting manually lower will accidentally initiate an autolanding.

Impressed by the good logic of DJI, now to implement this for not allowing an autolanding while flying forward speed and lowering....

I will test tihis out on my MA2 the next days, interesting so see in wich flight mode this min. height msg is seen as well.

cheers

First time I have seen min flight altitude - interesting find - as others have stated it must have something to do with AT.

I just tried Active Track and attempted to land. I got the same message trying to do it at my Home Point. Active Track does have a minimum height requirement and it will prevent the Mavic Air 2 for going below that point. Trying from up the hill it appears the minimum height comes from the downward sensor. It stopped trying to about .5 meters from the ground in every scenario.

Good to know, as DJI does not mention it in the manual, like many other things have not been added or updated in the manual after FW updates.
