I predicty that his will fly off the shelves as possibly one of the "I have got to have that for Xmas" main gifts this year or whenever it's released. Obviously, like all DJI products on release, it will be like rocking horse.......to get hold of initially. At least DJI have waited till the best version of the FW has been developed. As a FPV pilot, the 50MB update has revolutionised the hobby. To start off with the FW was flakey to say the least. I know one more than one pilot who actually went back to analog as it was unflyable. V4 was a big step in the right direction with V5 was a step back in a lot of respects and then came V6. The penetration, range and sheer quality of images is breath taking the 1st time you fly in HD. Sadly, this is possibly a pro level FPV quadcopter and the 1st time it is bailed into something, will be rendered useless. I dread to think about the repair costs for this.....What I cannot understand is why not release a full on FPV racer/freestyle rig with the parts that are already available ? They have been on the site for ages - https://store.dji.com/uk/product-search?q=fpv with Mr Steele and Stingy testing them quite some time ago now. It would be interesting to see why they have gone down this route with a totally new design. I would also like to point out that the FPV community is showing a lot more interest in the FPV Goggle V2 than the drone/quadcopter. The main grumble point about the Goggle V1 is the sheer amount of light leakeage reported. Obviously people have different shaped heads etc, but lets hope that the V2 eliminates some of this leakage. Personally I am one of the lucky ones and only have slight leakage around the bridge of the nose. It cetainly doesn't affect the flight experience or the view in the screens. |
