Evening all.  I'm going through some flight logs, to try and figure out some GPS issues.  I was wondering if anyone with a P4P v1, can tell me roughly how many GPS satellites they get a lock on in a typical flight, in an open area?

It varies a lot but around 12-20 is normal.
What are you seeing?

Hello there Andy. Thank you for reaching out and for these information you have posted. Kindly please refer Labroides post on post #2. In addition DJI would recommend users fly there DJI drones in a wide, open space  with good GPS signal. Please note that the said DJI drones need over 6 satellites to record the home point. I doesn't depend on your location at all.
The sats are orbiting around the earth forming a "cage" that the earth rotates within.
It's all designed to provide global coverage.

It's a trick question since the OP seems to be trying to exclude GLONASS but he likely is not.

But it will have made no difference to the drone's performance.
There were already more sats than you needed.
