Thanks for asking mate - he loves it! Though the Tetras started bullying the Betta fish and biting his fins so I've taken them out and returned them. Just have the three Cory Catfish and the Betta now (who is far less stressed) with more space for them. It's only a ten gallon tank and was too stocked

Ive never heard of tetra attacking other fish,  but at least you could return them and he liked it which is the main thing.

I have learnt a massive amount through this - what was suppose to be a present for my son has turned into another hobby for me - from nitrogen cycles and filtration systems to lighting conditions and PH values. Honestly, I never knew keeping fish required balancing so many variables. So far so good.

Its keeping the tank clean that was the downfall for me,  It just turned into too much of a hassle.

Balancing the water permitters and the cleanness of the tank it difficult as the beneficial bacteria grown in the 'brown' lol - you can over clean an aquarium and face an ammonia spike by removing too much beneficial bacteria which breaks down the nitrogen cycle or face one anyway by retaining too much waste in the tank - it's quite interesting but hassle is a word I will surely end up using soon
