I think this is pseudo VR really all you are doing with a headset is giving yourself a clear view without sun reflection. The litchi VR option actually gives you a really low quality restricted view. You are much better to ditch the VR concept and find goggles that effectively let you stick your phone about 6 inches from your head but see the whole screen. Almost like looking at your phone in a darkened room with strong reading glasses. The best I have found for this is these https://moviemask.io/ or this AR version https://www.magimask.com/  Same people, just email the Moviemask people and they will tell you how to order the Magimask. The Magimask has a hole for camera to show through so you get line of sight by flicking to camera mode on your phone without taking your goggles off which is handy.

You'll also need a Bluetooth Mouse or Controller (I used a mouse) and that worked great. No need to take the phone out of the mask to change settings. You see the whole screen and resolution is excellent.

Note: if you are getting on a bit and need reading glasses you can buy some cheap $10 stronger ones and wear them inside the mask if not focusing close enough for you but they do also have an adjustment inside the mask which may do the trick if your eyes aren't too bad.

Even after all of this and actually getting a really good result with the Magimask,  for quick deployment of my drone I found just using the phone in the standard Mavic Controller and having a anti-glare screen protector on my phone https://www.screenhug.co.nz/prod ... iant=31197716283434 to be my preferred operating mode.

Happy flying! :-)

Hello there Ingo Sundowner. Thank you for reaching out and for posting this video here at DJI Forum. Just a reminder to please use the recommended DJI application ( DJI Fly application ) when flying your DJI Mavic Mini to ensure stability and comparability during flight and 3rd party applications like Litchi can void the warranty of your DJI Mavic Mini. Thank you and safe flying always.
