Well thanks to FCC we now have a lot more details about the upcoming FPV Drone and FPV V2 goggles/controller.

DJI FPV Remote Controller 2
Notable changes: roughly 50% battery capacity of the current FPV Controller, 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz, two antennas (one horizontal and one vertical) inside a Tango 2-style antenna case, power output up to 380mW vs V1's 240mW.

DJI FPV Drone
Notable details: proprietary 2Ah 6S LiPo battery, 4 internal antennas - all 4 receiving and up to 2 at a time transmitting, up to 1W at 2.4 GHz or up to 700mW at 5.8GHz.

DJI FPV Goggles V2
Notable changes: 3-6S input up from 2-4S (even though some of us have been using V1 on 6S), 2.4GHz mode and slightly different antenna configuration (top left and bottom right will now be the only ones that can transmit). That seems about it, no new ports or any other visible hardware changes.

Not a single reference anywhere to a new Air Unit so looks like the 2.4GHz stuff will be proprietary to the DJI FPV Drone, at least for now.

All data seems to point to a late May 2021 release.

If you've been holding out on the DJI FPV System because of these leaks and rumors, I'd say go grab yourself a Christmas present...

In LyviuFPV's teardown of the current Air Unit here (at 2:45) we can see the wifi module going to two 5.8G amplifiers and looks like there's room in there for two more 2.4G amplifiers so I'd expect Air Unit V2 with 2.4GHz mode to follow shortly.

Man, I hope there's an air unit V2.  Come on, DJI.   Make money selling the new drone to the Mavic folks, but the FPV people need more modularity!
