I just got my Osmo pocket and when trying to activate it, it get the message:
“activation failed SN locked".
I tried with 2 android devices and 2 Ios devices and get the same issue, with wifi or Cellular data.

Has anyone experienced any similar issue?

I read about a few of these issues when Osmo Pocket first launched.  Most had to return them to DJI.  Others had SN not yet entered in activation database.  Your best bet is to contact DJI Support.

Marktplaats, our local auction site in The Netherlands, cannot do anything about it. I can report it to the local police, which cost me a lot of time. I do think I will do that later, because I don't like this.
Meanwhile I lost a lot of money - my fault.

After I had a good conversation with DJI customer service, I have reported it via the internet to the police and also on marketplace. I hope I will get my money back and the seller will never again take this into his head to sell a product that does not belong to him.

I didn't think I would need to go into the logistics of buying sealed cameras.  Obviously, I would never just buy a carcass from my own hands.  Today I was left without a camera on vacation and was forced to buy the same one, only the Adventure combo, it has more batteries.  it is also new and sealed, and I have no doubts about its normality, although it will be a shame if it does not register too;(. Dji company needs to somehow resolve this problem, and not shift it to the final conscientious buyers, the inability to use the new sealed  the device at full price somehow pushes regular customers away from DJI products. The police, alas, are not involved in logistics, and they cannot confirm the fact of theft. Most likely, this is a scam of insurers from the USA and it is difficult to find the culprits there;(. However, I can grab the full set.  take it with you on vacation and come to an official DJI dealer and return the OM4 to them, since it’s impossible to use it.
