Its too busy for my taste at the moment,   I used a footpath that runs along the coast and then flew in over the water to avoid the people.

ah,  the statue at the end is a viking looking towards the location of a viking battle -

In October 2006, a new statue of Brithnoth was erected in Maldon on a site at the end of the Promenade looking down the river estuary towards the nearby battle site. The statue is very impressive being nine feet high and cast in bronze. Not only is it an attraction for visitors enjoying the Promenade on foot, but also makes a notable landmark for those in boats navigating the River Blackwater into Maldon.

Yes,  Im very much trying to avoid people at the moment, especially as it looks like we are going into tier 3 next week,  it doesn't help that we need to have a new boiler but at least thats in my workshop so the fitters shouldn't need to do much in the house.

The heat exchanger is on the flits and the pressure expansion vessel has failed so we have hot water albeit with the hot to cold to hot issue but the radiators cause it to over pressure and then it dumps some water from the system.   Both we had repaired many years ago so this time Im just going to replace the whole thing.

thanks Planner68.       I should have gone lower but I was getting compass errors that day so decided not to risk it.   I'll go back another day as its near the MIL.
