I’ve been flying the P3P for a few weeks now. When I received the P3 it was the day DJI released Firmware v1.2.6 so I did the update. I’ve since been reading about flying  issues with this firmware version.To me that’s kind of scary but so far it’s been a good experience. To now I’ve only flown in P-mode with strong GPS signals.

So what’s the deal with ATTI-mode? Just out of curiosity I’m thinking about trying ATTI-mode to see how the P3 flies.

·        What should I expect?

·        Will the P3 react/fly differently in ATTI-mode than in P-mode?

·        I mean, isn’t a stick movement a stick movement in either mode?

·        Why would someone want to fly in ATTI-mode?

·        Aside from having a GPS acquired home point for RTH and the neat map, what benefits are there to flying with GPS?

When flying in ATTI, the Phantom does not use GPS to keep its position. That means your Phantom will drift with the wind. So, make sure you're not near any trees or other obstacles when you test it out
