Rock Steady is not steady.

Hi, djiuser_SdCE7bgS5U9O. Sorry to read about the difficulties you're experiencing. Could you confirm what's the firmware version of your Osmo Action? Also, does this issue only occur when the video was set to 4K 60fps? Further details are highly appreciated. Thanks and keep us updated.

so DJI is saying its your firmware.

firmware version 1.10.00.40
1080P / 24

Also noticed that after each update the rocksteady getting worse.

Guess nobody has an answer to this and that I have a pretty little camera that shoots bad videos.

For my view video is perfect, you have to compare video with and without rocksteady.

I see no problem in your first clip, more steady and you need a gimbal.
Second clip your walking not steady.

If you want to see a difference between Rocksteady on/off, take a look at this video:

I am not interested in a video shot on an ATV.  The question was about walking video and this is not really an answer at all.

And I did answer you, if you need more stable you need a gimbal. And even with a gimbal you will still see your footage go up/down by ordinary walking.

I did post the ATV video to show the real difference with and without Rocksteady on, and the head is acting like a gimbal because your vision while driving is more stable than your hand will be when walking.

Whilst there is no doubt rocksteady does something, I think the shame is it was much better on the first few firmware releases.

People found the screen lag objectionable ( I for one didn’t ) , so Firmware was released that had less screen lag - unfortunately it had less stabilisation too.

Although as a package the action is a bit of a bargain at the moment !
