That is typical with a pano that is this wide.
You merge a lot of perspective in a flat image.
There are editors that can help you reduce the effect, but it will be present.
I can give the images a go in autopano giga if you have the separate files.

DAF made a comment which prompted a thought
There are three shooting modes on the P2:
Tilt Locked
FPV
Follow
Each gives a different result tried indoors doing a 3x3 pano.
I need to get out and try again in each mode to see which gives the least distorted result.
More tests when the weather breaks

You should 'fold' the image around your head so to speak and look at it as if you are turning your head around.

Yeah, they can stretch those images quite much.
It will affect the image quality though.

This is what Autopano thinks it should make of it.
Actually it looks very nice, but you really have to think about it as something that you print out and wrap around your head so you can look left and right and see what your eyes would see in the real world.
If you make that a 'flat' image, it looks distorted (but that is just how it is with panos)

And this is how I would render it.
It is the perspective 'little planet' and with the option 'keep horizon straight' on.

As a rule of thumb : everything that runs parallel to the camera will look 'round' when you rotate the camera to make panos.
The effect is less prominent from a distance (so with a drone you sometimes can manipulate the projection enough to make it look 'sort of' straight)
But most of the time panos work 'best (with little distortion) when there are not obvious straight parts in them that run parallel to the camera.

Finally, remember most viewers won't know if the canal is curved in reality

Well it does actually curve at that point, but not as much as it appears

I think with this type of location a panorama is nice, but it will curve a lot.
Still it is a nice way to show what a place looks like.
I personally would not use a pano here, but focus on both sides (first and last image of the batch) where you seen the canal disappear.
Or try and capture it with a drone (from further away)
