Solution Dji???

I’m having this issue. The aircraft won’t enter pairing mode and beep and display the lights as per the guide. Therefore unable to pair it.

Clearly a group of people with this issue, DJI need to acknowledge this and provide prompt resolution.

This probably goes along with Air 2S not being able to fly after last update, DJI is aware and working on a fix. Just hope they check on Mini 2, etc. as this seems to have disabled the Drones that use Fly App and have updated?

I had the same problem twice.
Turned everything off, tried again and boom! All good.
Last time i had added a text file to my sd card (reward id found...) and i think that screwed it up.

Has this completely solved the issue now? Or have you had future pairing issues?

I live in Fort Myers and my mini 2 won’t pair either. I started having problems on January 1st and sent my drone in for warranty. They blamed it on me somehow and wanted to charge me $/01 to fix it. I told them no because it should be covered by warranty. They then sent me another invoice for $85 and I asked for what. They said it was to fix my controller which I had.  I asked if they fixed the controller and they said yes. I asked them how being that I have the controller. They then said that I flew it under some error code, which I didn’t. So, I asked them to just send my drone back without fixing. They then invoiced me several more times and I asked for a supervisor. He was an idiot. After a couple of months, I finally got my drone back minus the gimbal cover. Heads up for anyone reading this. Take a picture of whatever you send in to them in the state at time of shipping because Dji will deny deny deny over a small gimbal cover. I just got the gimbal cover today.

after one week with mini 2 i have the same issue, i'm not able to turn off and its imposible to pair it, i've tried formating the sd, but it doesn't work, i can't belive that dji doesn't give a clear solution about it.

Im having issue with my note 10plus samsung connecting to controller for mini 2 . Tookout sd card changed cord . Nothijg works. But my wifes iphone works

Same phone, same issue also.  I have quite a few memory sticks, I guess I will start trying them all.

I'm having a similar problem while trying to fix a friend's DJI Mini 2 (I have one also).   The drone won't pair with the controller.  (This is after a minor crash- mine has had more serious crashes but is fine).   Here is one odd detail:  When I hold down the drone's button for a few seconds I can see a wifi network pop up which is called "DJI Mini 2".  I can't join the nework but I can see it and this is before the transmitter is powered up, so it's coming from the drone itself and not he Tx.  I tried the "default" password of 12341234.  That doesn't allow it to connect.  Is that the default password for Mini 2?  
I'm not actually sure what I may be able to accomplish even if I do connect as I realize this uses occusync to communicate.   The usual wire connect to my phone is also unable to connect in any way and also the stick movement to connect without monitor/phone fails.  Nothing but blinkey lights.

I'm fortunate in that I have two nearly identical mini 2's available to compare.  Mine, which works fine as intended, and my friend's which is relatively new and was working initially but now will not pair with the Tx under any circumstance.  I checked the antennas and connections and they are sound- in fact all hardware seems to be in great shape.  Is there at least a way to return software  to default configuration?

The same problem, i turned it off and when i tried to turn it on in 20 minutes it couldn't connect it's other.
When i press the button at mini2 for 4 seconds nothing is happening and i can't close it!!!(one led is working and the yellow led also)

This isssue has caused several drones to be returned unnecessarily, wasting time,  effort and flying time for drone owners. It also incurs expense for DJI where it could have been avoided by better documentation or better trained DJI support staff.

There are already many sticky posts on this forum so adding another is probably not a good idea. DJI - how about combining key alerts, including the file name length restriction, into one consolidated “latest guidance” sticky post here? The drones should be shipped with documentation referring to this. It used to be called release notes in days gone by.

I had the same problem on a 1 month old Mini 2.  I removed the card, one that I had grabbed from my box of microsd cards, and replaced it with the original with correct file names.  After several attempts, I finally got it to pair up.  Flew the re-paired drone for 30 minutes, changed batteries tired it again and it seems to be working fine.  Won't say the problems is solved until I have some more flight time to assure the problem does not happen again.   Obviously, this is a software issue and needs fixing, too many people are reporting the same problem. This is my first DJI product and I was expecting a more robust and reliable data link after reading all the glowing reviews.  So where is it??

I just received my Mini 2 and had the same problem. In my case it wasn't the formatting of the SD Card. I had a Mini before this and tried to pair the mini 2. What was happening is that the drone was pairing but the app didn't recognize it. It would allow me to download the firmware upgrade to about 50% and it would fail. I figured this was because I had an old version of the DJI Fly App on my phone. I uninstalled the App and reinstalled the latest version and it worked perfectly. Hope this helps.

Update: When I tried to reconnect to the drone after powering everything down it would not connect. I ended up pulling the battery out and put it back in. Then it reconnected and said there was a firmware update for the drone available which I did. In my case, I am using a Samsung phone with the remote that came with the drone. I was trying to get to this point because I have a DJI Smart Controller that I want to use with the drone and it wouldn't connect. Once the firmware update was installed it works with both controllers perfectly.

Even I have the problem and I have been trying to connect without SD card inside but even though its not working, Now what am I supposed to do any suggestions please

I have had the same problem where my dji mini 2 won't pair with controller nor will it power off. Any solutions. I am from Trinidad and don't know how am I going to return my drone to DJI.

Hello, my dji mini2 drone also cannot connect to remote, and also it cannot connect to my laptop. Before this it can connect.

Same issue with my mini 2. any solution dji as its really frustrating.

And now you can add me to this list. Occurred without an SD in it and won’t pair with or without SD. Drone won’t go into pairing mode and have to manually remove the battery to power it off. Going to fully charge everything over night at the off chance and also try my iPad to see if it works with that still or not but guessing the problem is the drone itself and it’s somehow bricked or something. Does all the startup routine ok but then just flashes yellow fast. Yay.

That's exactly the problem I am facing with now.

Everything was just fine the other day and I had a flight for 20 minutes, but now when I turn the drone and the controller on, the aircraft is not going to enter pairing mode and NO beep sound comes out from the drone when I try to press the power button for 4 seconds, Also the LED display on the drone is not going to light up in sequence as per DJI guide (While it lights up in sequence on the controller).
I get the message unable to connect at the end.

Aircraft gets turned on/off normally but is not going to get discovered by the controller. Also NO GPS Signal I have after that problem emerged! The satellite is in red!

Can it be because I crossed across a high voltage AC transmission tower when I had my last flight?

Hello, 5 days ago I could not connect to the drone - the inscription "the remote control is not connected to the mobile device", before that I flew normally for 15 days. The data cable is working, the drone is communicating with the remote, but the mobile device (Samsung galaxy a30) cannot.

Does anyone have a fix for this?? Just got my mini 2 and first flight was fine but I go to fly it again and it won’t connect to the controller. Fast blinking light on the drone.

Update. I got the Mini2 back from DJI repair less than 2 weeks ago then went on vacation down in SW Florida before I had the change to check it out. I tried pairing last Friday when we got down here and the same exact issue. It will not pair. Last Friday I took the drone to a company called drone supply of Florida down in Fort Myers and they couldn’t get my drone to pair with the transmitter either. They called DJI on my behalf and asked me to send the drone back once again. Keep in mind that DJI’s repair service could not replicate my issue so I have no idea what’s going on and even the drone repair specialist down in Florida has no clue. WTF.

The same problem. Without having any accident, turning off the drone correctly, it no longer paired. With just 4 or 5 hours of flight, practically new.

What's up with this DJI? Have the same problem. First flight worked. Second flight device won't pair (click power button for 4 seconds nothing happens) and won't turn off (it stops and freezes at one of four lights remaining) all while flashing yellow lights. This thread has 20,000 views so clearly this is a widespread issue...

Had my mini se for two days with 1 hour flight time . Day one all good day two drone won’t pair or go into pairing mode .

As Flormo2002 has pointed out, there seem to be a naming issue with the SD card file names so whenever you have a pairing issue, remove the SD card and start over.

Select that, and then following the prompt for my model (Mini 2), gives the first 3 steps (screw in the remote control joystick arms, power on the RC & plug in mobile device, check for lights on RC). Then nothing. No connection, no further steps, etc. I've restarted my phone. Restarted the RC. Uninstalled & reinstalled the DJI Fly app. Restarted phone & RC again. Played with drone power on or off. Multiple combinations of all of the above. 4 hours and drained batteries in RC, drone & phone later: nothing! Unable to update firmware because it says I need to connect a drone first!
I'm ready to make this thing fly by throwing it off my roof!

To connect to the drone you (most often) need to have GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth enabled.

Add me.  Fought this for hours.  My cable for controller to phone was faulty.  Used an Apple USB C to Lightning cable and it worked immediately.

drone arrived today and same issue
Tried reformatting SD card and no luck, my samsung S21 just cant pair the drone and controller.
I have a second phone (i phone) so will try this
