I "accidentally" updated to V01.10.00.40 a day ago, thinking it would be an improvement. That was a mistake. I use the Quickswitch button a lot, after this update it's completely broken. 9/10 times it switches the screen off, and it's a hell to get it back on. When it doesn't, the object order is messed up.

To add on that, after a few restarts, all of my custom presets disappeared. (Will any new ones also disappear?)

You cannot downgrade a firmware on Osmo Action. So even if you find the older ones, they won't install. The only way to downgrade is to have a special version of the older firmware which pretends to be a newer version (so that the camera will install it).

There is a specific thread about downgrading firmware. You might get help there.

Yes you can downgrade.  would you care to see it Live  what fw version was it that showed  the USB connection in blue fw ver 1.03 and under

Bottom line it  can be done if you saved the firmware.

Literally drained almost 20 % battery for 16 min clip on 4k/30fps and it was showing some waring that screen will be switched off due to temp. Camera got really hot as well.

These issues needs to be addressed as quickly as possible. At lest give chance to downgrade until it is fixed.

Ah, I did not know that you could trick it! Nice hack, and I stand corrected

old  camera . it used to be fw 1.3, and you wanted fw 1.1 back on, you had to rename it fw 1.4  if you had fw 1.1.

  so yah you stood correct. (smiles)

New fresh firmware 1.10 . Bugs I got till now:
-Huge btt drain 30% for 15min on 2.7k 60fps.
-OA FREEZES exactly as GoPro. Did a  bike ride today, 60 min 2 freezes. Have to turn OA off and then OA automatically turns on and starts recording.
-Wind Noise Reduction still terrible, sound from the camera during the ride\race is useless.
Looks like 1.10 is too much for OA chipset.

FW 1.9 works great, long btt life even during the live stream to FB.

Hmmm  try  to refresh again I did it like 5 times to do vids o show and some no issues for me at all.

Even after refresh.
I'm done with 1.10, prefer to stay on 1.9 where all features work well (except junk sound =) ).

This firmware has much improved colours, not seen adverse battery life yet.
