I have trouble connecting the camera with ronin sc, they are both updated to the latest firmware but still, the record button is not working when pressed.
The app in the Ronin SC shows that the cable is connected and ticked off

Should I be in any of the modes in the camera to make it active such as Movie recording, Manual Exposure, Program AE or ...

Hello there, have you checked the cable connection and camera settings are correct by visiting https://www.dji.com/support/compatibility/ronin-sc/m50?
And could you please also check if the 'image confirmation' is turned off as it might cause the system latency.

I am having the same issue with the mark ii

I have a Ronin SC 1.6.0 and a Canon M50 1.1.0 since the updates of the both of them the buttom "record" of the Ronin doesn't work anymore
and buttom of the app on my Iphone doesn't work at all
