I just bought the dji rs2 pro combo. I get no video image from raven eye. My camera is a canon 5drs which belong to the rs2 compatibity list with no restriction but not to the raveneye compatibility list. Too bad the raveneye and rs2 don't share the same compatibility list even when they are sold together. Anyway, I guess my mistake has been not to look for another compatibility list than the one presented by DJI for the rs2.

I need to find a way to get raveneye fully operational with my camera . The raveneye remote control work pretty good only the video image is not transmitted.

Does anyboby have a solution to fix this issue?

Many thanks in advance.

Hello there, we are sorry to say the RavenEye only support the 1080p output while the EOS 5DS R's output is 1080i. Therefore the RavenEye cannot receive the video signal from the camera as they are not compatible.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your answer Wanda. I don't have the fix but the explanation which is good. Do you think that a raveneye firmware update could be able to fix this issue?

Hello, as the 1080p and 1080i have different arrays, the RavenEye cannot transfer the 1080i to the 1080p. We are sorry for bringing any inconvenience under this situation.

Raveneye is compatible with BMPCC 4K. Do you know if it is also compatible with BMPCC 6K?

How did you connect the 5DSR with the RS2 in first place?
DJI's website suggests (wrongly) a micro-USB to Type-C cable, but the 5DSR doesn't have a micro USB port... it has a USB 3.- type B port instead!!!
I bought the RS2 to use it with my 5DSR and know I am scratching my head, on how to connect it...

I have the same issue here... However, everything I read says the 5DSR outputs in 1080p, not 1080i.  I'm wondering if the problem is as fansb2ac722 states above... the EOS 5DS R has a usb 3 type b port... I was able to use a micro-usb and plug it in to just 1 side of the usb3 port on the camera.  The RS2 seems to operate the camera just fine... just no video.

I "solved" the issue using HDMI converter which allows 1080i and outputs 1080p. Costs about $50 at amazon and can be powered with 5 volts usb.

Can you provide a link or details about the product you bought?  That would be very helpful

I guess he is talking about little HDMI recorders that has PassThrough and are able to handle 1080i as input then output 1080p. Important, it must have DC in 5V to be standalone, not powered by USB3.0.

This product works like a charm to convert 1080i to 1080p
