From the name Eulsukdo, you can see the bird's relationship with the bird. Eulsukdo Island, which is known to migratory birds before people. Why do migratory birds visit here? Nakdonggang River comes first to know the reason. This is because Eulsukdo Island was located at the mouth of the Nakdonggang River.
The Nakdonggang River originates from Mount Taebaek, Gangwon Province, and flows up and down throughout the Yeongnam region to the South Sea. It is commonly referred to as the 1,300-liter Nakdonggang River, which translates to about 510 kilometers, the longest stream after the Yalu River (803 kilometers) on the Korean Peninsula. The stream originating from Mt.Hambaeksan joins tributaries such as Banbyeoncheon near Andong and turns westward. In the vicinity of Jeomchon, Naeseongcheon Stream and Yeonggang River are carried to the south, and the Geumho River is accepted near Daegu. The stream, which had been in the south until it passed Hapcheon and Changnyeong, merged with the Namgang River near Haman and changed its course to the east. After passing the Miryang River and turning south again, the stream passes through Busan and reaches the salty water of the South Sea. Eulsukdo Island is located in the Nakdonggang Estuary Bank, before the Nakdonggang River, which runs through the entire Yeongnam region, mixes with the southern sea after its life.
