Hi! Is this normal?

Not flown my zoom in a while, I think I noticed the same not long after I got mime, but not as bad as that, it worked ok so never thought any more of it, I have seen pics of crashed drones and that gap is way bigger and the gimble has problems.

My M2Zoom doesn't look like that.  Does yours fly OK or have you noticed problems with it?

Mine has it.  It operates without any issues and I've never crashed it.
