How come the 360 spherical panoramas taken with the mini 2 do not work on Facebook? In other words when you try to post to Facebook directly from the dji fly app facebook will not show them as 360 panoramas.  I can see them on the dji fly app but that's it.  Any ideas how to make this work.

Just right click on the image file and edit these values in these 2 fields. There is a list on the internet with the values of 360 cameras and models that works the same. Then you can upload your photo to fb as normal. It will automaticaly show it as 360.

better way is to make sure the photo resolution is 2:1 and use exif editor like the one from the screenshot for example. Make sure you set on the photosphere tab the panorama projection type to equirectangular. this way it will be rendered as 360 photo on facebook. any exif editor should work.

Same issue here. Facebook still does not recognise the picture as a 360 with the camera and model name edited to "Ricoh" and " Ricoh Theta S".
Can DJI help with this issue please? #mini2

dji won't help on that...or at least not soon if ever...if it is not recognized even after the camera change probably the ratio 2:1 is not met...check that and try with the exif metadata setting, those work for sure as i am posting it like that on facebook.

The problem is Facebook does not recognise the DJI Mini 2 as a 360 Camera as it is not but through software has the ability to take 360 images,
The Ricoh Theta S is a 360 Camera so you fool facebook into recognising it as a 360 image by changing the Camera name but when taking a 360 DJI Fly should add these values.

ExifFixer works OK for me...   https://panoramaphotographer.com/software/exiffixer/

With old Facebook design, adding of Camera maker and Camera model worked OK, but now not.

Changing just those 2 tags in win 10 native file explorer enabled FB to detect it as a 360 photo!!

Great tip, thanks!

The problem is the dji mini 2 is a new drone that is why facebook is not recognizing the 360, the solution is for the shake of all mini 2 users, we should report the problem to facebook. I have already reported the problem but I need you to do also so that it may catch the attention of facebook...

The Mini 2 is not a 360 Camera so if Facebook done that all Photographs added to Facebook even if not 360 would be distorted.  DJI needs to add the parameters into there software when it creates a 360 to tell Facebook what it is.

Fellow eyes in the skies - When I export from DJI app the quality is p!s poor, 1.4mb. Is there method for increasing quality? I have an SD inserted however it just creates sub folders and dumps the files there leaving stitching to us. I have tried Microsoft Image Composite Editor and it does have a higher quality per image but the stiching isn't as cohesive etc. Would love to know how to use this accurately. Truly disappointing that DJI leaves so much DYI. Thanks in advance for any tips! Also tried the DJI Media Maker and only get "failed" for each batch.

Hints from these 2 related threads :

##############################################################################################################
https://mavicpilots.com/threads/microsoft-ice.87339/

When you put .dng raw pictures into ICE, it takes the tiny jpeg thumbnails embedded in the raw file (these thumbnails are there for preview purposes only) and merges those into a pano; hence the disappointing result. Take your raws into LR, PS, or equivalent and develop them first (do this as a batch - meaning apply same edits across all of them) and then export them in JPEG format. Take your JPEGs into ICE - problem solved.

https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/d353de0c-f6ee-4ad3-b194-ad3bbe4e030d/my-panorama-size-becomes-small?forum=ice

I know this thread is 3 years old, but for anyone checking in 2020....
Export your DNG as TIFF's from Lightroom. Then stitch your pano using those TIFF's. Export as a TIFF from ICE then you've got a full size, Raw Photo. I just exported one using the DNG's and it came out to 5.83 MB - Using the method above I get a true 71 Megapixel image thats 10188x6992.

##############################################################################################################

I didn't try the above processes for the highest resolution.
Here was my recent sample on plain JPEG exported to Google StreetView which is way better than the puny facebook   >> https://goo.gl/maps/TG1HkXQPP8GJZ8hj7
