I started owning the first Mavic Air, amazing aircraft until I wanted the next level setting up a mission flight. Perhaps the limited radio signal distance due to the lack of ocusync 2 was unable for DJI to implement it.

Then I moved upgraded the MA Mavic 2 zoom. An important leap forward in terms of fight distance, sensors and optical zoom. An yes I was able to setup my missions to do the same flight over an over again. In this point, night flights were a down due to the optic lens aperture. Now MA2 has 1 inch sensor, ocusync 2, high resolution photos, 4K 60p, among better range and battery life.

My question is regarding setting up missions. Is that possible? Does anybody has tested that already?

Not possible on MA2. Only on Mavic 2 yet.

WayPoints can be used in Hyperlaps only.  Hopefully DJI will add WayPoints for photo and video modes in the next Firmware update.

Nice find.  Thanks for sharing DAFlys.  

However, it would still be nice if DJI added waypoints.  I knew it wasn't available when I bought the MA2 so I'm not complaining just saying it would be a "bonus" if it was added.  

Also, that would help the DJI Bots from having to keep saying use DJI Fly app and not use a 3rd party software or you'll void your warranty.

Yes but it recognise it as mini and no apas or waypoints work it only flies.

I'm sure that decision was made well up the corporate ladder within DJI.  DJI falls short by not adding functions to their own apps that other developers can easily add once they get the SDK.  Of course, some functions may push the limits of said drone and DJI is trying to minimize their liability.

Definitely this is something technically possible provided that is not related to the model and potential novice users. For example, the remote control is not coming with display although the design is better and perhaps hat also save manufacturing costs.

Goos point. However, generally the proximity camera sensors may not work at all pretty much as it happens when we use most of the intelligent modes, including waypoints on M2

I bought the fly more combo plus two extra intelligent batteries. I wonder if I better buy one M2 pro. In this point I’m not sure is the batteries can be interchanged without issues between M2 zoom and M2 Pro...

I like to find out, if the fly app can "take over" the mission, like the Go4 could:
After uploading it from litchi, I chrashed litchi and started the Go4.
The disadvantage: Worked this way only with fixed camera angle
