Here's a quick and easy sunshade I made out of some floor mat foam but could be easily made out of almost anything. It sits on the front of the tablet rather than trying to make something the tablet will fit inside. This also leaves the sides open for the cable. It hangs on the tablet with a piece of aluminum angle but you could use a flat strip of plastic or a plastic angle and the whole thing clamps nicely into the holder. All held together with hot glue. Could probably make it folding pretty easily. Whole thing took about 20 minutes.

I'll just spend the $20 for one that folds up and fits in my hardshell backpack

i think im gonna make one like the Parrot Bebop sun shade, go take a look at it. or i might just build a shower curtain style wall around me!! oh lmao. just imagine a dude surrounded by a shower curtain in your neighborhood park, that will be me
