Hi,

I am shooting 48MP Photos with my new Mavic Air 2 (love the drone).
I made a few shots from the building my parent live in (The consent the photo being used on this forum).
When I compared the DNG and the JPG I understand the color differences, the DNG is a RAW picture, the JPG is optimised (auto).

What I did not expect is that the DNG shows lens distortion and the JPG does not.
The concrete building lines and the railings on it show "round" distortions.
Not only on the outeredges of the picture, also in the middle (see the blue railing).

These distortions make the DNG useles for me, or am I missing something? Am I doing something wrong?
If this is normal (since its a RAW image), how can I fix the distortions on Adobe Photoshop or Corel Paintshop Pro?

Please see the attached example:
DJI_0003-DNG-JPG-overlapped.JPG -->Here I overlapped the 2 images, I'm shocked!!!!

Is there a DNG lens correction possible by hand?

Please help.

Here are the DNG and JPG overlapped:

For anyone who also encounters this issue:

Try opening the DNG in a better app.
The DNG has lens (and color) correction saved in the image file.

Using the Newest Adobe Photoshop recognised the DNG perfectly and automatically corrected the image.

Im still shocked, that the RAW image is THAT deformed....

Hi Remon.

It is.
But that is no different from most point and shoot camera's.
They all rely on lens correction to make the output look 'ok'.
Even my high end Full Frame Nikon DSLR uses lens correction and that is with 500gr prime lenses.
(not as much as these smaller camera systems, but still)

Especially with a lightweight drone, there is not much weight reserved for the lens.
