Hello Everyone,

We are having some issues with our GH4 and the Z15 gimbal, specifically the HDMI/AV Converter.

If we power up our GH4 with the HDMI cable plugged in, the camera does not detect the HDMI/AV converter component and does not send video out via the HDMI cable.

We have tried a the different output modes that are configurable in the camera (Auto, 1080 etc.). Another test we did was connect the camera to a HD Projector and then turned on the camera, in this case the camera successfully output the video to projector.

If anyone has any ideas on how to make this work, that would be greatly appreciated.

Ashley is all firmware up to date? Just to verify you have the hd/av board set to the correct mode, hd for hd to lightbridge or AV for analog out?

Hello Blade,

All firmware is up to date and the switch is set to AV. If we plug in the cable after the camera has started up, the video goes through.

Dear, Can you check the status of Gimba LED ?  Red? Yellow? or Green?  Is blinking or continuously on??

On the front of the gimbal both the yellow/orange and green are constantly on. The back one has the green on constantly.

We have narrowed it down further to be only when the camera is in 4K cinema (24fps) that it will not automatically do video out. To make it work, we must have the camera in PAL mode and switch the system frequency to Cinema and then power cycle the camera.

Issue: The Z15-GH4 + Lightbridge fails to deliver HD image in cold weather. After it cools down enough, the HD image in our dual system will die. The FPV AV image works fine always. We have come to the conclusion that it is something to do with the HDMI cabling in the gimbal. The gimabl has already been changed once so we are ruling out that its a dummy. Inside in warm temperatures everything works fine.

This system is quaranteed to work up to -10 degrees but already fails in +2...
