After a pleasant, calm day yesterday, we awoke to snow. Just a couple of inches of the stuff - but sufficient to bring the valley to a grinding halt.  Vehicles everywhere struggling up the slopes out of the valley.  A quick walk around the village with the P2 to see the Winter Wonderland

Fantastic winter wonderland.  We don't get the white stuff in Northeast Florida so just looking at your images made me cold.  LOL.  When I would visit my grandparents in Colorado I saw plenty of snow.  I remember my grandad always saying it's hot toddy time.  Not sure what all he put in that drink but he sure loved to drink them on cold, snowy days.

Hiya.  It's amazing how a couple of inches of the stuff can transform the landscape.  And in the UK that's enough to bring the country to a grinding halt. We never seem prepared for it.  Back in France, such cold snaps are dealt with by adjusting the coffee/Calvados ratio. 50/50 in the harshest conditions

Beautiful images.     - We had snow on the forecast for tomorrow until it just disppeared about the same time as the met office issued a yellow snow warning for us.    But it looks very nice and Im very jealous.

Not quite enough for ski-ing but the local kids are dragging their sleds out to the fields. The roads have ground to a halt as the council omitted to grit them last night. Typical.

Thanks Depp. Even a gentle snowfall can transform the landscape   Much of it has already melted with the warmer afternoon temperatures, but the sky looks as though it may be holding some more for tonight .

It indeed looked like 'too warm' on the images to stay white.
