Hi, i posted this in the Tutorials & Tips section but someone told me to post here since it was more active.

Windows 10
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on VMware workstation pro


I'm trying to follow the OSDK quick start tutorial with the A3 controller that my school gave me for my project.

The problem is that I can't connect the controller (with the usb cable) to both Windows and and Ubuntu, in my virtual machine. I can either use DJI Assistant or run the sample with the controller device. When I connect it to the vm, it deconnects from host and vice versa. I also tried with wsl 2 but the usb doesn't work at all here.

So I'm wondering if I should have 1 more usb cable (maybe my school didn't give me every cable), if there is other virtualization programs that support sharing usb, or if I'm missing something else ?

I think I'm missing the usb-ttl cable but I want to make sure this is it before I buy it.
