Don't know whether it makes sense, but I did it because the paid promotion thing makes my channel look much bigger than it really is (or at least to me)

Nice video but why 60fps?
I mean that as I know 60fps is for fast action or to create a smooth slow motion part of an action. Here is a normal video from high altitude with slow movements on sticks and with no fast action anywhere on the ground.
OK, a nice clip but in this case 60fps offers you nothing. It could be in 30fps just the same.

You're right about mostly static shots not really benefitting much from it, but many drone users like plenty of movement in their footage. So 60P is nice to have it when you need it.

I'd love it, but I'm guessing we won't see a 4K60 firmware update on the Mini 2. They'll save that for the Mini 3.

I also didn't get 60fps immediately after updating the app, it took a few hours.  During that time I also turned the drone on and off a few times.  You can try that and see if it speeds up the process.

I'm still limited to 30fps on 2.7k as well. I'd love 60fps for slow motion so this is disappointing. I have an android if that makes any difference.

I have the same problem!
In my case i got the Firmware on the drone but i can't access 60 FPS in 2.7k

in 2.7k i only have 24/25/30 FPS
in 1080p i have 24/25/30/48/50/60 FPS..

Im seraching all over internet atm how to fix this, but i'm getting nowhere.

There is an desktop app called DJI Assistant 2. It makes it possible to update the drone thought a computer.
Sadly i can't even connect to that app as it only allows me to download some kind if external file..

After alot of deep digging i figgerd it out by my self.. (odd no one else is talking about this)

Dji fly app (on your phone) Requires Android 6.0 or above.
Android app; DJI FLY Version V 1.2.2!

Somehow the latest version off the DJI FLY app in my phone was still at version: 1.2.1  
To access Firmware v01.02.0100 to the drone, you MUST have app version 1.2.2 !!
For some reason this app version only exist at DJI webbsite for now.
I could not uppdate it though Google Play.

Install app at dji website.

Scan the QR code though your phone, follow the instruction and uppdate the app.
Im using Android phone, Samsung galaxy s10 if someone is wondering

It finally works now :-)
in 2.7k i have 24/25/30/48/50/60 FPS.

I have the same problem. I updated to latest and can't get 2.7k 60fps, will only show 30fps very disappointed

That was it for me; thanks! Baffling why the app store version (on Android at least) is so out-of-date. Website offers 1.2.4 now, while store is stuck on 1.2.1.

I do not see it either

For ANDROID, download the APP from https://www.dji.com/at/mini-2/downloads as an APK and install it.
For iPhone, download / update the APP from the AppleStore.
Then connect the cell phone to the remote, switch on the remote and the drone (cell phone must have a data connection!) And check for updates after starting the APP.

Yes, that distortion happens probably because of the MINI 2's small image sensor

This is not 2.7K, but 720p first of all. Guessing this is from your phone rather than edited the sd card clip.
And I keep repeating myself over and over again here, but you move to fast with this tiny sensor with a shutterangle that combine into "noise, artifacts" etc.

first of all: original file is 2.7k/60 of course, only uploaded to youtube in 720p.

And this is NOT from the phone.
You can repeat yourself over and over again, but this doesnt mean you are right..
This effect is NOT because i move to fast (in fact it's hovering), in every other mode the issue is NOT exist!
This is NOT "noise, artifacts", this is simply wrong distorsion correction algorithm used by DJI.

If you dont trust, i can prove that distorsion with photos while drone is in my hand  in the room. not moving at all!

Hello relaxosmo:

60 fps should help with this some, but people commonly also get an ND filter to solve this.

The distortion comes when the image shutter time is lower than the FPS. So at 30fps, if the shutter time is below 1/30 a second because it is so bright outside you will see this. It will look jerky, like there are gaps between frames (the artifacts you mentioned).

The common fix to this is to use an ND (neutral density) filter on the gimbal. This reduces the amount of light into the camera and causes the shutter time to increase, giving it a smoother look (it actually captures some motion blur). That is how you get a cinematic look even in bright scenes.

The ND filters can be bought on Amazon as a set of different darkness levels depending on how bright and which FPS you're using. Will take a some experimentation.

Exactly it is lens distortion. All other modes have lens distortion correction.

They do not want to or cannot correct image distortion. I stopped using 2.7k 60fps mode.
