HI all.
I decided today to use the files on my sd card to make a video instead of the phone ones, because they are obvioulsy the better quality etc.. I have taken them off the sd card and on to my hard drive ont he PC but whenI play them, the framerate is terrible and often jumpy. The picture quality is descent enough but I just cant get smooth movement. Any ideas why this would be?
As far as I know most are in 2k or 4k at 30fps. My pc has a GTX 1060 6gb card in it which I thought would be good enough. I moved some on the the solid state drive but they dont play any better. My monitor is 4k.. is there somerthing I'm missing? Also I am using a sandisk extreme U3 A2 v30 sd card 128gb.

Looks like PAL/NTsC problem. Video with 30 fps shown with 25 fps, may be ... or your turn ist too fast.

Thanks. To use 30 fps should I use PAL or NTSC? not sure which of those two i should generally be using. its the same in all my videos.. particularly noticeable when moving faster alright from sided to side or up and down. Its like it should be 30 fps but only showing maybe 10 fps max..

Hi,
If you are in Europe it is in Pal.
The main difference between the two standards is the IPS frequency - 29.97 for NTSC and 25 for PAL.

PAL or NTSC make no difference unless you want to broadcast on old fashioned tv.

I just checked in settings. Theres nowhere I can choose either PAL or HTSC. Im going to try record with refresh rate set to 60hz and 4k at 60 fps to see if that helps.

I don't know what you are using, but if 30 pictures are available and 25 are played, pictures will be lost.... then it jumps.
