I wanted to ask someone who has 1.1.8 file for P3 Advanced to send it to me.
I wolud like to rollback to 1.1.8 from 1.2.8.

So.. It is working! I was rolling back to 1.1.9, after that I was rolling back to the version 1.1.8.
But:
- I need to check how bird will be behaving while flying.
- I still have the version 1.2.0 Pilot app and I'm not sure if it's not going to be better to use the previous version.
- I will try to make the test tomorrow and if everything goes alright, I am going to make a video showing how everything is working.

I’ve already done the tests on my P3A.
In the end, I’ve done them with firmare 1.1.9  firstly with 1.1.0 Pilot app and then with 1.2.0 pilot app.
No problems with the bird. Stable flight, RTH was being tested – no problems with it.
I did the tests with VPS switched on. Measurements of VPS were almost congruent with the height of barometer (of course until the height of around 3m).
I didn’t change the software in the radio. I don’t know whether the file I have is accurate for that.
I did triple upgrading and downgrading. The process wasn’t exactly the same each time. I still have to work on that.
That’s why I wouldn’t like to pass the file I have yet, not to cause any harm to anyone, especially because it’s not an official dji file.
Below I’m attaching the movie with roll back.

This is one of the faults 1.2.0 pilot app - android , particularly if it is not connected to the Internet. This was noted by many users doing a simple upgrade.

But not directly from 1.2.8 to 1.1.8. For the moment, IDK why.
I have to do flying test with 1.1.8 firmware.

Here are the causes of my personal experience:

1/ with 1.1.8 quite no issues during fly
2/ with 1.1.9 sometimes but not important issues during fly
3/ with 1.2.8 many dengerous issues during fly, like instability, many errors, landing without reasons

Yes,  is necessary to use a special bin file which deletes the previous version of the software

I'm still not 100% sure about all the changes the file makes. Everything that I've done, I've done at my own risk.
For this reason, I would not want to send the file that may not work properly, or damage the drone softwares

that's okay - it's our choice. BTW - should ask - where did you get it? (just to make sure tthere isn't a virus, etc).

Sounds like you've reverse engineered the .bin file to have just the part which unloads the previo ...

At this time I can only write, that your conclusions are wrong in the first part.
