First video shot in new 2.7K 60fps, I'm reasonably pleased with how it turned out. It was a beautiful winter sunshine Morning, wind 29kph so mini preformed pretty good. Pano Photo.

Im thinking of getting one because of the new EU rules and currently if you get one thats not classified its going to be less restricted than when it gets classified.   Due to the 250g measure change from weight to MTOM.

It makes good sense, but its not an M2P , But is capable of shooting good Stills and Video, But good light and good Weather are going to make the difference.

But as the Mavic 2 Pro cannot really be flown anywhere now as you have to be 150m away from people/parks/buildings etc the Mini 2 which can even over fly people is a great way to stay legal.

I think we might see in future drones like M2/M3 better ability to zoom so the need to fly low can somewhat be eliminated. I do believe the future for photography drones will be great, but having the mini just now helps a lot with new rules.

Round here in the Southeast near London its very hard to be 150m away from anything in the new rules so a zoom is not going to help.   Under the new tules I cant even take off from the beach and fly out to sea.    The mini 2 before it gets classified seems like the holy grail.

The MINI 2 now has variable zoom in both video and stills with latest updates:
drone  1.02.0001   FlyMe app 1.2.2    The drone update was just after first of the year....FlyMe app for Android not yet at Play Store I believe as of today.....but at DJI web site.

To access zoom....hold function key down and rotate the knob wheel that normally raises and lowers the gimble. Last drone update corrected things like the color streak at top left of 4k videos and the uneven color on DNG raw panos (was always OK on jpg but not DNG). Lots of other tweaks and new features also.

Thank you for your kind words, indeed the M2 is so capable as most dji drones are, its certainly my favorite drone. Keep practicing I’m sure you’ll improve very quickly.
